Your wedding is nothing less than a dream come true. You've found your soulmate, gotten engaged to them, and now you are planning your picture perfect Wedding. Here are some of my favorite tips for you to make sure your decoration serves purpose as well as look fabulous for your dream come true.
First, we need to make sure that every single color provided in the venue matches your color themes. Whether it's your outfits, walls of the venue, or the time of the day you plan to have your events. Your color scheme should match over all. Sometimes, the decorations look great on themselves, but when you place a different time of the day, or have guests / couple with a different colored outfit, it can very simply throw off a color scheme.
Second, your photographers will be taking any and all of your group photos or couple photos in a landscape horizontal layout. Normally we would use something like a !6:9 ratio. This means that the length of your backdrop is much longer than the height of the backdrop. So when you go to your decorators, please ask them not to give you a square ratio designed backdrop. Make it long, and make it worth the cameras.
Third, for your receptions and grand entrances, you should have some sort of clear entrance way. A red carpet is a great example of how you've experienced grand entrances. It is your big event, make your entrances stand out. There should be no reason for you and your beloved to be walking through chairs and tables, making your way. Make your entrance grand.
Lastly, do not go with huge center of the table decorations. Keep them small in height, so the camera crew can shoot over them. This allows photographers and videographers to get wider shots of the crowd and whatever comes behind them. Pro tip: your guests will be able to see each other rather than face a giant flower.
