Post Delivery Process
We make sure your special events are captured for a lifetime. However, once the data is delivered - it becomes your responsibility to make sure everything is safe.
On this page, you will learn about the right steps you can take to ensure your data is backed up and safely stored.
1
Your event's data has just been delivered.
As soon as your data is delivered, you must watch the videos and photos thoroughly and let us know if you would like any changes as soon as possible. This way we can provide the fastest deliverables and finish off the project.
We do not hold any raw data after 6 months of delivery; thus it being not possible to re-edit and make any changes.
2
Downloading your photos from SmugMug
We deliver all of our client galleries on a website called SmugMug. This link will be available to you until you are notified of deletion. But, we do recommend that you download your data and keep it safe for your own records.
To download from SmugMug - you will find your data delivered either in folders or a direct gallery. Once you navigate to each gallery (on a desktop or a computer), you will find a download button on the top cover. Once you click on this button it will initiate a download process and give you downloadable zip files. These are just compressed for faster downloads. Depending on the amount of photos in the gallery, you may see multiple zip files that you will have to download individually. Once downloaded, you can unzip (uncompress) those files and save in your drive.
3
Downloading your videos from Dropbox
Once your videos folder is sent over to you, you can simply click on the download from the folder or click on download and download each file directly to your system. This is a fairly simple process and will require time-based on your internet speed and the size of the file. Dropbox videos will be taken off after a year. So please make sure to download your files and save them in your drives.
4
If your data was given to you via a USB Flash Drive
Our initial delivery steps include online delivery, and then once everything is confirmed we can provide a USB flash drive. Once you've received this flash drive, you have to follow the first step to make sure your data is in there. This will include photos and videos. Once confirmed, you must keep your USB flash drive in a safe location.
5
Safety and Backups of your data
Finally, you must understand that the safety and responsibility of your data is all yours after we have delivered the data. We may or may not have your data in our archives. We typically hold the raw data for about a year and all deliverables for about two years but this does not mean that we will be responsible for any loss of data. Any data recovery after one year will come at an additional cost if we can somehow recover the data. No changes in videos or photos will be made after two months of delivery. Any change/request must be made within 2 months of delivery.
We recommend that you purchase one or two additional hard drives and copy all of your data into those hard drives as these are memories that last forever.
We also recommend using cloud based drives such as Dropbox, Google Drive etc. to back up your data and this will also work as a sharing hub if you'd like to share your wedding photos and videos with your friends and family.
